Technician and Trainer at Revinge Garrison

About the Organization

At each garrison location, there is a Logistics Unit organized with a Technical Department. The Technical Department carries out preventive and corrective maintenance on a large amount of equipment. Technical training on material systems and support for users of the systems is also conducted here.

At Revinge Garrison, we primarily have mechanized units with both tracked and wheeled combat vehicles. In addition, there is a fleet of various types of vehicles, command and weapon systems, and other equipment. This means that we have a wide range of types of equipment that need maintenance.

Main Responsibilities

The Technical Department will be expanded with various competencies to provide greater support regarding technical training, equipment maintenance, and user support. You will primarily work as a Trainer at the mechanics school within your specific material system (wheeled vehicles, combat vehicles, tanks, and communication).

You will also work with the operation of facilities, maintenance halls, wash halls, mechanics schools, and inspection halls. You will provide technical support during exercises, both at the garrison and in the field, and also assist the garrison with corrective maintenance.

More concretely, you will work with:

  • Preventive maintenance of technical equipment, weapon systems, or wheeled vehicles
  • Documentation and record-keeping
  • Training sessions in your area of expertise

Qualifications

To be considered for the position, you need to have a strong technical interest and:

  • Previous experience in mechanics, hydraulics, or vehicle electronics that the employer deems relevant for the position
  • Ability to work independently based on electrical and hydraulic diagrams.
  • Driving license category B for manual transmission.
  • Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
  • 3-year high school education or equivalent knowledge deemed equivalent by the employer.

Meritorious

  • Forklift license
  • Experience in the role of trainer
  • Completed military service or previous employment in the armed forces in the area of material service.
  • Driving license class C or higher
  • Experience with systems LIFT and PRIO
  • Completed technical courses on military systems focusing on combat vehicles.
  • Completed technical courses on military systems focusing on wheeled vehicles.
  • Completed technical courses on military systems focusing on electrical/communication/weapons.

Personal Qualities

It is important to us that you have a positive attitude towards work and the organization. We are looking for someone who works well independently as well as in a team. You have a sense of order and neatness. You have good technical understanding and the ability to share your knowledge in a pedagogical and practical way. You should also, in addition to the main duties, be prepared to perform physically demanding tasks.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

As an employee, you have benefits such as three hours of physical training per week during working hours and 28-35 vacation days/year depending on your age.

Employment form: Civil servant, permanent with a 6-month probationary period

Employment degree: Full-time

Work location: Revingehed

Working hours: Daytime, Monday – Friday. Work at other times will be required as well as travel in service. Service abroad may also be required.

Start date: By agreement
